From charles.johns at d214.org Thu Apr 10 19:10:51 2008 From: charles.johns at d214.org (Charles Johns) Date: Thu Apr 10 19:04:01 2008 Subject: [RMHS] RMHS Update: Today's Lockdown Drill Message-ID: Dear RMHS families: I just learned that this message bounced back to me. It appears that I had a typo in the address. I'm sorry that you're receiving this so late, but I thought you should be updated. The message was originally sent at around 12:30. Here's the original message: We have finished our lock down drill. It went smoother than expected. The joint exercise with the RM Police and Fire departments gave us important insights on issues that need to be considered in the event of a real emergency. I am grateful for their combined efforts. Our students were exceptional! They took the drill seriously and quickly went into lockdown mode. Our staff quickly took action and did a great job carrying through with the lock down procedures. I thank you for your patience, as well. I regret not being able to send out a message when we started the drill, but I guess that is the way it would be in real life. While running this event was difficult on a lot of people, I feel that it was crucial in our preparations to protect students and staff in the case of an emergency. Thank you for reading.
