The football team will be playing the 2nd round game at Lake Zurich, on Saturday, at 1pm. It should be a great match up. I hope to see as many of you there as possible. For those who are wondering, the IHSA has a process that determines the date and time for the games; we chose the day, Lake Zurich chose the time. 2. We are planning to have a "lockdown" drill on Monday, during seminar. This is purely a drill. This is a joint exercise between the school and the police department, so there will be a substantial number of police on campus. There is no threat that we are responding to, we are merely working on preparedness. Students and staff will be aware of the drill in advance because the real focus is on the interaction between the police and the school. Just in case the announcement before the drill is not heard, please feel free to mention the upcoming drill to your student so he or she can be fully aware that it is a drill. Later in the year, a more realistic drill will be planned. 3. We're beginning the registration process for the 08-09 school year. We need to begin the process very early in order to create the best master schedule possible to serve as many students as fully as possible. This is a lengthy process and impacts what classes we are able to offer and our staffing. Attached is a letter from Mr. Dan Renner, or Assistant Principal for Student Services.
